I always thought if Liberace made softcore porn he'd have made Pink
Narcissus. Directed by James Bidgood in 1971,
the film languidly explores the fantasies of a doe-eyed teen hustler reposing in his cramped bedroom". I don't remember the extent of the fantasies because I haven't seen the film in a while but here is the beautiful Bobby Kendall [Ken doll?]
rolling around in white gogo boots and tighty whities.

The film explodes with kitsch: peacock feathers, pink roccoco bedrooms full of gold gilt [I swear I saw some heart-shaped 3-d glasses in there], difficult to identify fluffy & filmy things, white leather, the tightest white jeans ever made, butterflies, so called orientalism, bejeweled telephones, endless mirrors, satiny toreadors bullfighting with motorcycles, leather boys [the black leather variety], sappy music, lovelorn hornyness, Bobby in just pearls, Nijinsky references [!], good old-fashioned street meat sleeze and some sloooooooooooow stripping.
American Apparel is like this film's muppet baby. Bite me American Apparel
and then bite Bobby Kendall's bum.
